Michael’s Campaign is only as good as its Volunteers
“Volunteers fill a crucial niche in a political candidate’s campaign” and “Volunteers can have a large impact on influencing others to cast their vote, especially as distrust for politics and news spreads.”
About the event
Statesman and Author Baldwin Spencer once said…
“There comes a time when what is needed is not just rhetoric, but boots on the ground.”
With this quote he emphasizes the importance of direct action and leadership presence over mere words.
Scanlon For Colorado seeks Volunteers to help us with our boots on the ground initiative to get the word out about issues that effect working people of the state and to assist us in getting the Democrats back on track by bringing the Party’s focus back to Colorado’s Working Families.

About The Campaign
Scanlon For Colorado is a grass roots campaign with a mission to represent the working people who built this country and that means all of them: those who’s ancestors were here long before ours, those who were born here, those who immigrated here and the decedents of those who were brought here illegally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have the skills and experience to volunteer?
The only skills that are required is for you to be you, for you to be able to be genuine in your interactions with others and for you to be able to help with whatever you are volunteering to do. No experience is necessary. If you can help, you can volunteer.
How much time do I need to commit?
Your time is your contribution to the campaign. We can’t tell you how much to contribute. That is up to you but we may ask you to contribute a few hours here and there based on your availability, the level of your desire to help and in what capacity to help you express.
Do my beliefs need to align with the Campaign’s values?
No. Not all of your personal beliefs need to align with the values that the campaign is built on or align with personal values of the candidate. All you need to believe is that working people need someone who will fight for them and you need to be able to tell people that is what Michael Scanlon is running for office to do.
What do I get out of it?
McKayla Garardin argues that there are 7 Benefits of Volunteering for a Political Campaign that go far beyond helping to win votes. Volunteering builds your skills, deepens community connections, and allows you to witness change as it happens. Volunteering is one of the most accessible and impactful ways to get involved in politics.
Thank you in advance for joining us as a volunteer.
